Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Nava Bharat Vent., S Chand & Co, , and NDTV, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday’s trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 119.0 points up at 17944.25 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as

, , , and , touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 34 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 16 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index,

, , , and were among top gainers during the day, while M&M, , , Cipla and Cem. ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 417.92 points up at 60260.13.

Traders piled up positions in Learning & Education, Miscellaneous, Telecommunications, Shipping and Tyres sectors, while selling was witnessed in Metals – Ferrous, Term Lending Institutions, Auto Ancillaries, Gas & Petroleum and Pharmaceuticals sectors during the day.
