Home Depot, Verizon share losses lead Dow's 37-point drop

Shares of Home Depot and Verizon are trading lower Wednesday afternoon, dragging the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. Shares of Home Depot and Verizon are contributing to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow was most recently trading 37 points (0.1%) lower. Home Depot’s shares have declined $6.29 (2.1%) while those of Verizon have fallen $0.65, or 1.7%, combining for a roughly 46-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Walmart Coca-Cola and Walt Disney A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
