Amundi’s head of equities, Diego Franzin, has left the group in the latest high-profile departure from the recently merged asset manager.
Franzin was named as the sole head of equities in February of this year in the wake of Roman Boscher’s move to Fidelity International.
Prior to this, Franzin had served as head of equities for Europe at Pioneer Investments. This was before Amundi took over Pioneer Investments at the end of 2016.
In leaving the firm, Franzin relinquishes control of three funds: the Amundi Azionario Europa, Amundi II European Equity OptimalVolatility and Amundi Funds II European Research funds.
It is understood that Franzin has left Amundi to return to Italy and pursue another opportunity.
