Stocks were mixed on Friday, but there could have been big losses if it weren’t for an encouraging jobs report.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 66.78 points, or 0.24%, to 28,323. The S&P 500 rose 94 points, or 0.03%, to 3509. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite rose 4 points, or 0.04%, to 11895. Bullishly, the 10-Year Treasury yield rose to 0.82% from 0.77% as inflation expectations continue firming.
