Buoyed by strong returns for shares of Cisco and Boeing, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up Friday morning. Shares of Cisco CSCO, +6.77% and Boeing BA, +4.02% are contributing about a quarter of the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.94% is trading 275 points, or 0.9%, higher. Cisco’s shares are up $2.58, or 6.7%, while those of Boeing have gained $7.98 (4.5%), combining for an approximately 69-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are American Express AXP, +3.36%, Walgreens Boots WBA, +3.09%, and Chevron CVX, +2.49%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
