President-elect Joe Biden planned to meet Monday with labor leaders and top corporate executives, including the heads of General Motors Co. and Microsoft Corp. , to discuss ways to bolster the economic recovery as Americans deal with a resurgence of the coronavirus across the nation.

Mr. Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris were scheduled to meet virtually with the union leaders and chief executives “to discuss how—despite our different perspectives—we can work together to reach our common goals,” Mr. Biden’s aides said.

Transition advisers said Mr. Biden would deliver remarks “on ensuring our workers and businesses can operate safely and rebuilding our economy to be more resilient and inclusive.”
