I have spent my life, since the early ’90s, with one foot inside the low and moderate-income world. I can concede that employment grew, and poverty shrank during in the last four years, pre-pandemic, as it had been doing since 2010. Those improvements, by themselves, are not enough to warrant such revisionist history.
