Goldman Sachs, Apple Inc. share gains lead Dow's nearly 275-point climb

Shares of Goldman Sachs and Apple Inc. are posting positive gains Friday afternoon, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. Shares of Goldman Sachs GS, +2.81% and Apple Inc. AAPL, +2.09% are contributing around 25% of the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.89% was most recently trading 272 points, or 0.8%, higher. Goldman Sachs’s shares are up $9.36, or 2.8%, while those of Apple Inc. are up $3.04 (2.3%), combining for a roughly 82-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include JPMorgan Chase JPM, +2.31%, Dow Inc. DOW, +2.35%, and Visa V, +1.72%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
