While they do not have the most financial flexibility or the richest stash of assets, it is basically a given that the Milwaukee Bucks will be active on the trade market around the deadline.

The front office will consistently do their due diligence around the league if it means they can improve their contending chances. This is precisely what they did when they traded for P.J. Tucker before last season’s deadline, and it seems safe to say that trading for him worked out pretty well as he helped the Bucks bring home their first title in 50 years. Some have already started to make lists of players that the team should target before this year’s deadline in February as they hope to see Milwaukee end up with a repeat of last season.

Will the Milwaukee Bucks be active before the February NBA Trade Deadline?

Right now, it is a tad early to start thinking of trades as the reigning champions are just 25 games into the season, currently boasting a 16-9 overall record. The Bucks have looked good to this point despite an abundance of injuries to players, but that will not stop general manager Jon Horst from scouring the landscape for improvements down the line. A sizeable chunk of players are ineligible to be traded right now due to free agency rules, which will be lifted on December 15. Once that day comes, trade talks should heat up in Milwaukee and league-wide.

While trade discussions across the NBA are rather quiet right now, Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley recently went ahead and wrote up a trade deadline wishlist for each team. Buckley’s list is filled with interesting picks for every team across the association, so be sure to check out his picks. For now, let us take a look at his deadline wishlist picks for the Bucks and whether the defending NBA champions should pass or pursue them before the February deadline passes.
