Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.05% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 10:04AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

L&T Technology(up 0.56 per cent), HCL Technologies(up 0.56 per cent), Infosys(up 0.21 per cent), Tata Consultancy(up 0.21 per cent) and Persistent Systems(up 0.06 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Tech Mahindra(down 0.82 per cent), Coforge(down 0.41 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd(down 0.24 per cent), Wipro(down 0.1 per cent) and MPhasis(down 0.08 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty IT index was up 0.05 per cent at 29343.85 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 85.85 points at 18619.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 329.86 points at 62876.97.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, Zomato, YES Bank and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of The Hi-Tech Gears, Sky Gold, Talbros Auto, RPP Infra Proj and Hardwyn India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Quicktouch Technolog, Power & Instrument, Silly Monks Entertai, Advitiya Trade India and Vivimed Labs hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
