BED program aims to give children a better night's sleep

BULLHEAD CITY — A good night’s sleep is an integral part to good health, especially for a growing child.

“We’ve heard that 3% of the population doesn’t have a bed to sleep in. Doing a little math, that’s somewhere between 300 and 500 children here (in the Tri-state) that are sleeping on the floor, on a couch, in a chair,” said Derrick Voss, chairman of a Kiwanis of the Colorado River initiative that is addressing that situation.
