TUPELO — Two years after the city sold a small lot in downtown Tupelo to a developer, officials are looking to buy it back and redevelop it.

Following a brief executive session on Thursday, the Tupelo City Council voted unanimously among present members to exercise the city’s right to repurchase a property at the corner of West Main Street and Green Street, in front of the Tupelo Water & Light building, from Bostick Rentals MS for $97,500.
