For the first time since five different women have filed civil lawsuits alleging various sex-related offenses or battery, well-known Sacramento real estate investor Ethan Conrad responds to the claims in an interview.The first lawsuit of this nature against Conrad was filed in November 2024. The filer claimed Conrad laced her drinks with some sort of drug, then raped her. Two weeks later, a different civil suit followed. In that case, the accuser said Conrad physically attacked her after she questioned him about the first woman’s allegations.Conrad filed a cross-complaint in the first lawsuit, denying the allegations and saying he and the first woman had a consensual sexual encounter, but she lied about it afterward to extort money from him. On Friday, Conrad reaffirmed his innocence in an interview with KCRA 3.”You could be the best person in the world. And if you become successful, you become a target. And people will make accusations that have no validity at all. Nothing,” Conrad said. The investor said he has text messages and threads proving his side of the story.”I’m completely innocent,” Conrad said, adding that the allegations had “no supporting documentation.”Since the two civil lawsuits were filed in 2024, three other women have come forward, filing additional suits. One filed in January claims Conrad “made sexual advances in exchange for prospective employment.” Conrad has also filed a cross-complaint in that case. According to the court documents, Conrad said the two had a previous dating relationship and never had nonconsensual sex. He also claimed she illegally recorded him during their private conversations. Two additional women who filed separate lawsuits in April claim Conrad laced their drinks before raping them. There are no criminal charges against Conrad.
