Amy Schumer did not lose weight to “look hot.”

The comedian set the record straight on her recent transformation in an Instagram Reel on Monday, explaining that she lost 50 pounds in order to “survive” Cushing syndrome.

The actress was diagnosed with the disorder, which the National Institutes of Health states “occurs when your body makes too much of the hormone cortisol over a long period of time,” in 2024.

Schumer explained, “I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you but the Internet caught it and the disease has cleared.”

The “I Feel Pretty” star went on to acknowledge anyone who feels “let down” by her weight loss.

“I didn’t lose 30 lbs I lost 50,” the “Trainwreck” star, 44, clarified. “Sorry for whatever feeling it’s giving you that I lost that weight.”

The Emmy winner noted, “I’ve had plastic surgery over the years, and I use Mounjaro. Sorry to anyone [that] feels let down. I’m pain-free. I can [play] tag with my son, [Gene].”

Schumer told her followers that she was “happy to share more if anyone has any questions about how [she’s] looking or feeling or where [she’s at] in [her] perimenopause process.”

Additionally, the “Inside Amy Schumer” alum wrote that “whatever ends up happening with” her marriage to husband Chris Fischer has “nothing to do with” her weight loss or the chef’s autism.

“Fingers crossed,” the Golden Globe winner concluded. “He’s the best.”

The couple, who wed in 2018, sparked split rumors last month — only for Schumer’s rep to claim the “committed” pair were “privately working through normal issues that couples in long-term marriages have.”

Schumer, however, fueled the speculation over the weekend when she posted Instagram photos without her wedding ring.

Social media users gushed over her slim appearance in the shots, calling the Tony winner “Benjamin Button” and asking for access to her “time machine.”

Schumer revealed in March that she was having a “great” experience taking Mounjaro — years after a “horrible” time with Wegovy.

“I wanted to keep it real with you about that,” she said in an Instagram video at the time.

Two years prior, Schumer blasted celebrities who secretly use semaglutide and urged them to “just stop” lying during a “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” appearance.

“You are on Ozempic or one of those things or you got work done,” she said in 2023. “Be real with the people.”
