Lester Kitching’s book Fat Loss For The Real World offers fitness advice for those with busy, hectic lives

A fitness coach who believes weight loss journeys don’t have to be miserable or an impossible challenge has penned a new book. Lester Kitching is leaving his job in marketing to take the plunge and become his own boss, helping people lose weight and keep it off.

His goal with the book, and his coaching, is to create a simple plan which is easy to stick to. The 33-year-old from Billingham, who first started coaching in 2014, says some diets and training plans are simply not designed for people with real lives which involve kids, work stress and hectic weekends.

“There’s so much conflicting information out there that people are confused and overwhelmed about how to get in shape and stay in shape,” he said. “I want to make it simple, something easy to stick to, and something that fits around everyday life of kids, work, social life, and other commitments.”

Fat Loss For The Real World is now available on Amazon, and Lester is offering ten free copies to Teesside Live readers. “I wrote the book as a way to get the message out, and to help people who aren’t local to the area or aren’t in a position to work with me on a one-to-one basis.”

Lester says the book covers the main principles of weight loss in an easy-to-understand style. “Workouts and nutrition don’t have to be so complicated and, if you focus on the high impact factors, you can get great results and lead a happier, healthier life without extremes,” he said.

“My goal wasn’t to write a textbook full of jargon or endless tactics – it was to create something simple, impactful and practical. It’s basically a guide that helps you achieve lasting fat loss without restriction, starvation, obsession, or hours in the gym doing workouts you hate.”

The idea of writing a book has been on his radar for years and Lester admits when he first had the idea he doubted himself. “A big reason to finish it was to show my daughter and son who are three and one that if they want to do something, to just go for it. Don’t let doubt and fear get in the way.”

From January, Lester will be working with clients in person in Active Body Conditioning (ABC) in Stockton. He has known the owner Andy Burton since 2014 when he first started coaching.

“I’m really excited to train clients in this facility – it’s a friendly atmosphere for clients who are new or nervous about starting in the gym, and the equipment is levels above a typical gym,” he said. To mark the launch of Lester’s new book which costs £12.99 on Amazon, there are ten free copies being given away to readers. Visit www.lesterkitching.com/free.
