Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.11% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:35AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 1.16 per cent), Tata Motors(up 1.0 per cent), TIINDIA(up 0.83 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 0.6 per cent) and Eicher Motors(up 0.42 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Bharat Forge(down 1.69 per cent), Ashok Leyland(down 1.39 per cent), MRF(down 0.81 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International(down 0.67 per cent) and Bosch(down 0.12 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Auto index was up 0.11 per cent at 13003.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 42.55 points at 17596.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 147.95 points at 59892.93.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

Shares of Zee Ent., Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, Suzlon Energy and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Nintec Systems Ltd., Aaron Industries, Marvel Decor, Vinny Overseas and RM Drip and Sprinkle hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Zee Learn, SVP Global, Zee Ent., Antarctica Ltd and Globe Textiles(Ind hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
