Wipro

Wipro reported a 25.9% year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 3,569.6 crore for the March quarter. However, the IT major spooked the Street with a muted outlook, warning that its IT services revenue could fall by up to 3.5% in the June quarter due to global uncertainties. The revenue for Q4 rose just 1.3% to Rs 22,504.2 crore, showing the impact of a sluggish global tech environment.

Infosys

IT major Infosys will announce its quarterly earnings today. Investors will also be watching out for a possible dividend announcement, as the company’s board is expected to decide on the payout and fix the record date along with the Q4 results.

DLF

Real estate major DLF has entered into a master framework agreement with Srijan Realty to sell its IT/ITeS SEZ project in Kolkata. The Rs 693 crore deal includes 25.9 acres of freehold land and the DLF Tech Park building with 10.54 lakh sq ft of leasable area. The transaction, structured as a slump sale, is expected to boost DLF’s cash flows.

Paytm

Paytm’s stock will be closely watched after its founder and CEO, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, voluntarily gave up 2.1 crore stock options granted to him under the 2019 ESOP plan. This move leads to a one-time non-cash expense of Rs 492 crore in Q4.

Tata Steel

Tata Steel Nederland has signed a pact with the Port of Amsterdam, Ecolog, and other partners to create the world’s first commercial-scale green hydrogen import corridor between Oman and Europe.

Lupin

In a legal development, a US court upheld Astellas Pharma’s patent on Myrbetriq, a drug Lupin is trying to launch a generic version of. The court has pushed the infringement trial to 2026, with no immediate financial hit. Lupin, however, maintains it has a strong case and is weighing further legal options.

UltraTech Cement

UltraTech Cement is acquiring a 26% stake in AMPIN C&I Power Eight, a company in the renewable energy space. The deal is part of UltraTech’s strategy to meet its green energy needs and comply with electricity regulations for captive consumption.

BHEL

BHEL has signed a technology transfer agreement with BARC to develop indigenous hydrogen electrolysers using membrane diaphragm technology. The agreement supports India’s goal of becoming self-reliant in green hydrogen production and gives BHEL a boost in the clean tech space.

IRFC

The Madras High Court has ruled in favour of IRFC, setting aside a Rs 230.55 crore tax demand raised by the Assistant Commissioner (ST). This legal win removes a key overhang for the PSU NBFC and brings relief on the regulatory front.

Dalmia Bharat

Dalmia Cement’s land worth Rs 793.34 crore has been provisionally attached by the Enforcement Directorate. The attachment is linked to a 2011 CBI case concerning its investment in Bharathi Cement. Though the case is still sub judice, the ED’s move raises fresh concerns.

Glenmark Pharma

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals will launch a generic version of Adderall in the US in May 2025. The product, used to treat ADHD, will be available in five strengths and is bioequivalent to the original drug by Teva. This launch is expected to support Glenmark’s US business in the coming quarters.
