Jaclyn Jeffrey-Wilensky is a data reporter for The Wall Street Journal who specializes in data-driven investigations, local news, health/science reporting and quick-turn analyses.
Before coming to the Journal, Jaclyn reported data-driven web and radio stories for WNYC/Gothamist, the nation’s largest public radio station. She also volunteered with the Covid Tracking Project, where she helped collect data on the spread of the virus in nursing homes. Her work has appeared outlets such as NBC News, STAT News, and U.S. News & World Report.
While at WNYC/Gothamist, Jaclyn and her colleagues won awards from the New York Press Club and the Deadline Club of New York for their reporting on COVID-19 precautions in New York City schools and geographic patterns of gun violence across the city.
Jaclyn is an alumna of Cornell University and the Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, where she now teaches data journalism classes.
