Andy Cohen got real about his health journey when he admitted to “micro-dosing” on a GLP-1 weight loss medication.

“I was really unhappy with my weight. My doctor and I talked about this last year, had recommended a GLP-1 a few times to not only address what I was feeling about my weight, but treat plaque in my arteries and high blood pressure,” Cohen, 57, said during the Tuesday, September 9, episode of his SiriusXM “Andy Cohen Live” radio show.

While Cohen didn’t reveal which GLP-1 medication he was taking, he explained that it “is a medication that actually is beneficial to a lot of elements of health and I finally said yes.”

Using the drug helped Cohen slow down his snacking habits, which he said was his biggest problem amid his “pretty rigorous” fitness journey.

“I have to say, it really helped me with cravings,” the Watch What Happens Live host said. “Which I was having a very hard time with, and really forcing myself to be more disciplined with my diet and with working out.”

Cohen also made a point to acknowledge his privilege of being able to try the drug through his insurance.

“This is a revolutionary drug. I’m so happy also to have been on this journey under the care of a doctor and working with a trainer to make sure that we have done this right,” he said. “I will say, my appetite returned from the micro-dose, but I feel like it caused me to reframe my relationship with food because it was s—ty before this.”

After he shared the details of his latest weight loss hack, Cohen explained he wanted to be honest with his fans because it “would be completely hypocritical not to share” after he spent two decades “asking people about their body regimens” on his shows.
