Stocks to watch today on 03 September 2025: The market is set for stock-specific action today as several companies announced operational updates, business developments, and order wins. Here are the major stocks in focus:
Coal India
Coal India’s production and offtake slipped in September. Provisional coal output fell 3.9% YoY to 4.89 crore tonnes, while offtake declined 1.1% YoY to 5.35 crore tonnes. For April–September, production dropped 3.6% to 32.91 crore tonnes and offtake contracted 2.1% to 35.61 crore tonnes.
V-Mart Retail
V-Mart reported strong Q2 performance. Revenue rose 22% YoY to Rs 807 crore from Rs 661 crore. Same-store sales growth stood at 11%. The company opened 25 new stores while shutting down two, taking the total count to 533 stores as of September 30.
Indian Bank
The lender posted healthy business growth. Total business jumped 12.4% YoY to Rs 13.98 lakh crore. Deposits increased from Rs 6.93 lakh crore to Rs 7.76 lakh crore, while gross advances rose to Rs 6.22 lakh crore from Rs 5.51 lakh crore.
South Indian Bank
Deposits grew 10% YoY to Rs 1.2 lakh crore, while gross advances rose 9% YoY to Rs 92,000 crore. The bank had earlier undertaken a technical write-off of Rs 900 crore in Q4FY25.
Maruti Suzuki
September sales came in line with estimates. Total sales stood at 1,89,665 units (up 2.7% YoY). Domestic sales fell 6.1% to 1,47,461 units, while exports surged 52.2% to 42,204 units.
Hero MotoCorp
Hero beat estimates with 8% YoY growth in total sales at 6,87,220 units (vs 6,50,000 estimate). Strong dispatches supported an 11.3% growth in Q2 FY26.
TVS Motor
TVS missed street estimates. Two-wheeler sales rose 11% YoY to 5,23,923 units (vs 5,30,000 estimate). Total sales grew 12% to 5,41,064 units, short of the 5,49,500 expected. The company, however, recorded its highest-ever quarterly sales at 15.07 lakh units.
Zydus Lifesciences
Subsidiary Sentynl Therapeutics received a Complete Response Letter (CRL) from USFDA for CUTX-101, a treatment for Menkes disease. The regulator sought clarifications on manufacturing facility CGMP compliance.
Tata Power
Tata Power Renewable Energy signed a Rs 1,200 crore power purchase agreement with Tata Power Distribution Mumbai to set up an 80 MW dispatchable renewable project in 24 months.
Waaree Energies
The company announced major capacity expansion. Lithium-ion and BESS plant capacity will rise from 3.5 GWh to 20 GWh with Rs 8,000 crore investment. Electrolyser manufacturing will expand from 300 MW to 1000 MW, alongside Rs 125 crore and Rs 50 crore additional investments in subsidiaries.
Nestle India
Nestle added a new Maggi noodles production line at its Sanand factory, Gujarat, with 20,600 TPA additional capacity. The Rs 85 crore investment will be completed in FY25–26, taking total capacity to 1,21,000 TPA.
Samman Capital
Approved preferential issue of equity shares and warrants worth Rs 8,849 crore to Avenir Investment at Rs 139 per share. Avenir’s stake may rise to 43.46% post conversion.
Utkarsh Small Finance Bank
Board approved rights issue of up to Rs 950 crore equity shares. Terms to be finalized in the next board meeting on October 8.
RITES Ltd
Won Rs 36 crore order from Damodar Valley Corporation for railway siding AMC and O&M at Mejia Thermal Power Station (execution in 730 days).
Hyundai Motor India
Started PV production at its Talegaon, Pune facility with 1.7 lakh annual capacity.
