The ever-candid Amy Schumer is clearing up a few things about her life right now. For starters, she’s losing weight to be healthier, and while she’s been among the handful of stars who have made aspects of body positivity part of their brand and then slimmed down, potentially creating confusion among their fans, she’s not going to let that stop her from pursuing her health goals. Schumer also addressed rumors about her marriage to husband Chris Fischer in the same slightly hard-to-read post, which looks like an Instagram story (with overlapping text?) that was then screenshotted and reposted on December 1, but cropped. We’ve done our best to fill in the gaps in sentences.

“Bedroom tour by Gene,” she wrote, showing off a room in her home and referring to her son. “I never ever wear jewelry,” she continued, likely referencing the fact that she’d previously posted pictures of herself sans wedding ring, which outlets had pointed to as a sign that her marriage was shaky. “I don’t get Botox or fil[l]er. I didn’t lose 30lbs I lost 50. Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you but the Internet caught it and that disease has cleared.” Schumer had previously shared that prolonged steroid use (for medical reasons) had given her Cushing Syndrome, which she caught thanks to, as she put it, “internet trolls” and online comments from doctors.

“Sorry for whatever feeling it’s giving you that I lost that weight. I’ve had plastic surgery over the years and I use [Mounjaro]. Sorry to anyone [who feels let down]. I’m pain free. I can [play] tag with my son,” she continued.
In another part of the post, Amy Schumer further addressed ongoing rumors about the state of her marriage, neither confirming nor denying talk of issues but sweetly complimenting her husband and again reminding followers that her weight loss has been for her health, unrelated to anything else. She also made it clear that her husband’s autism diagnosis, which she has spoken about in her stand-up, is also not a factor in whether or not they stay together, writing, “Whatever ends up happening [with me] and Chris has nothing to do [with] weight loss or autism fingers [crossed] we make it through he’s the [best].” She also said she’d be open to sharing more, so we may get updates as her health and marital journeys continue. Wishing everyone the best.
