CBRE announced Dec. 11 that Jay Wellschlager joined the real estate company as senior vice president of investment sales in Jacksonville.
He will advise clients across asset classes throughout the North Florida market and work closely with CBRE’s North Florida Debt and Structured Finance team, including Jeff Kinney, Phil Rachels, Riley Gainer and John Simmons, as well as other professionals across CBRE.
Wellschlager previously served as managing director of investment sales at Jones Lang LaSalle in Baltimore after leadership roles at Cassidy Turley, a predecessor firm within Cushman & Wakefield.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore and an MBA from Loyola University Maryland.
The Dec. 11 news release said Wellschlager’s 25 years in commercial real estate includes land dispositions, sale-leasebacks, ground-up development, and repositioning strategies for office properties with multiple potential uses or complex conversions.
“His extensive experience, proven performance, and ability to navigate complex opportunities will be a tremendous asset to both our clients and our growing capital markets platform,” said Tommie Reilly, managing director at CBRE’s Jacksonville office, in the release.
Dallas-based CBRE Group Inc. said it serves clients in more than 100 countries through four business segments: advisory, building operations and experience, project management and real estate investments.
