Simon Cowell frequently warms fans’ hearts with sweet posts and comments about his 10-year-old son, Eric.
The America’s Got Talent judge, 65, previously shared with Us Weekly that his son (who he shares with his fiancée Lauren Silverman) motivated him to adopt a healthier outlook and prioritize his own health, leading to a weight loss of twenty pounds.
The X Factor creator mentioned that adopting a plant-based diet and becoming more physically active resulted in his leaner physique.

As Cowell told the outlet, when his son wakes up, he “is bouncing off the ceiling, it’s like, you’ve got to try and keep that energy yourself.”
The television personality went on, regarding his weight loss transformation: “so that was my biggest thing, but changing my diet and everything else. I’ve got to play football with him. I’ve got to take him go-karting. So that was a much-needed push.”
Instead of opting for the weight loss injections that many celebrities are now choosing (regardless of whether they openly acknowledge it), Cowell attributed his weight loss to changes in his eating habits. In particular, he mentioned eliminating certain items from his meals.

According to a 2019 article in The Mirror, Cowell initially dropped 20 lbs. by adopting a predominantly vegan diet. In April 2022, Cowell told The Sun that his weight loss was due to a revised diet, eliminating dairy, sugar, bread, all gluten, and red meat. “Cutting all that out is what has made a difference, genuinely,” he said at the time.
Cowell also told The Sun at the time: “The most dramatic period was the first month where most of the weight comes off and you look at yourself and think ‘wow.'”
The father-of-one also said that his busy work schedule meant that he used to rely on fast food and generally unhealthy foods, and he “used to binge on sausage rolls, hamburgers and [his] favorite jam tarts made by [his] personal chefs.”
However, he was able to “drop four waist sizes” by cutting out those foods. As well as cutting out those things from his diet, Cowell also limited his alcohol intake as per the advice of his doctor.
He previously told Extra TV: “My first thought was ‘what about the alcohol?’ The doctor said, ‘Maybe not quite as much as you had before’ and I’ve stuck to it and it’s easy.” So, what is Simon Cowell’s current diet to keep his slim physique?
As reported by The Express, Cowell continues to avoid the previously mentioned foods and frequently consumes lean proteins like chicken and turkey, along with plenty of salads and vegetables. It appears to be a very nutritious regimen, and recent photos suggest it’s still effective.
