SPRINGFIELD — Edwin Rodriguez’s mother always wanted to see her son own his own home. While she didn’t live to see that happen, the teaching assistant knows she is smiling from heaven while he unpacks boxes in his brand-new, two-bedroom condominium in the South End.
“It felt like ‘welcome home,’” Rodriguez said of his moving day. “I worked so hard to get it. It is never too late.”
