A record year at real estate listings giant REA Group and The Wall Street Journal owner Dow Jones drove higher revenue and earnings for the Murdoch family’s News Corporation, which delivered its first full-year results since selling subscription broadcaster Foxtel.
The company beat analysts’ expectations to post $US8.5 billion ($13.1 billion) in revenue for the year to June 30, up 2 per cent, and earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation of $US1.42 billion, up 14 per cent.
