U.S. stocks remained sharply higher in Wednesday’s afternoon trading in New York, with all three major indexes on course for their best CPI-release day since at least November 2023.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 617 points, or 1.5%, at around 43,135.
The S&P 500 was up 89 points, or 1.5%, at around 5,932.
The Nasdaq Composite was up 380 points, or 2%, at around 19,425.
