Intel (INTC, Financials) could be among the next beneficiaries of a U.S. policy shift allowing Nvidia to resume shipments of its H200 AI processors to China. Wells Fargo said Tuesday the decision, announced by the White House, signals that export rules may also ease for AMD and Intel as the administration reassesses restrictions imposed earlier this year.

Nvidia had previously reported billions in revenue impact from export limits, with China accounting for up to a quarter of its data center sales. Analysts said the policy change represents meaningful upside for the sector as demand for AI accelerators remains strong.

AMD has already secured licenses for its MI308X but saw revenue guidance cut by more than $2 billion in 2025 because of earlier restrictions. Wells Fargo now expects approvals for the MI300X and MI325X. Intel’s AI roadmap could also benefit if similar licensing follows.

Investors are waiting for official advice from U.S. authorities and corporate filings that show how much money they intend to make. More information on sales in China will probably come out in the next quarterly report.
