At €79 a year, Ryanair Prime offered its members cheaper flights, travel insurance and free reserved seats on as many as 12 journeys. More than 55,000 people signed up to the loyalty scheme, which is being scrapped after just eight months.
Members got €6 million in discounted fares, but it generated €4.4 million in subscription fees. Ryanair shares are down around 1% today.
