The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 426.16 points Friday, or a sharp 1%, to close at a fresh record high of 44,296.51.
The S&P 500 rose 20.63 points, or 0.3%, to end at 5,969.34.
The Nasdaq Composite climbed 31.23 points, or 0.2%, to finish at 19,003.65.
For the week, the Dow climbed 2% while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq each advanced 1.7%, according to Dow Jones Market Data. All three indexes bounced from their declines last week.
The U.S. stock market will next week break on Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday. Traders will get a fresh reading on U.S. inflation next week from the personal-consumption-expenditures price index, with the PCE report due on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
