Stocks to watch today (October 16, 2025): India’s benchmark indices are likely to open mixed on Wednesday as traders digest a heavy line-up of Q2 results, fresh order wins, expansion plans, and fund-raising announcements from several major companies.

Axis Bank

Axis Bank reported a 26 per cent year-on-year (YoY) fall in standalone net profit to Rs 5,090 crore for the second quarter of the financial year 2025-2026 (Q2 FY26). The decline was primarily due to a one-time standard asset provision of Rs 1,231 crore for discontinued crop loan variants, following an advisory from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Net Interest Income (NII): Increased marginally by 2 per cent YoY to Rs 13,745 crore.

HDFC Life

HDFC Life announced its Q2 FY26 results on October 15, 2025, reporting a consolidated net profit of Rs 448 crore, a 3 per cent increase YoY. The growth was driven by a rise in total premium income, though profit was lower on a sequential basis. Net premium income grew 14 per cent YoY to Rs 18,871 crore, compared to Rs 16,614 crore in Q2 FY25.

Angel One

– Revenue fell 20.7 per cent YoY to Rs 1,202 crore versus Rs 1,515 crore.

– EBITDA dropped 38.2 per cent YoY to Rs 415.25 crore.

– EBITDA margin contracted 980 bps YoY to 34.6 per cent.

– Net profit plunged 50 per cent YoY to Rs 211.7 crore.

– The company also received approval to set up a new branch unit at GIFT City, Gandhinagar.

HDB Financial Services

– NII rose 19.6 per cent YoY to Rs 2,192.5 crore.

– PAT fell slightly by 1.6 per cent YoY to Rs 581.4 crore.

– NIM improved to 7.9 per cent from 7.5 per cent.

– GNPA stood at 2.81 per cent versus 2.56 per cent (QoQ), while NNPA was 1.27 per cent versus 1.11 per cent.
Assets under management grew 12.8 per cent YoY to Rs 1.11 lakh crore.

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL)

– Revenue jumped 30.5 per cent QoQ to Rs 22,649 crore.

– EBITDA surged 8.2x to Rs 1,488.6 crore with margins improving to 6.6 per cent from 1 per cent.

– The company reported a net profit of Rs 627.4 crore versus a net loss of Rs 696.9 crore last quarter.

Adani Green Energy

– Adani Green Energy reported a strong operational performance for H1FY26.

– Capacity rose 49 per cent YoY to 16.7 GW.

– Energy sales grew 39 per cent YoY to 1,956 crore units.

– The company commissioned 4,200 MW of new solar power plants during the period.

RBL Bank

Board meeting on October 18 to consider fund-raising proposals.

KEC International

Won new T&D orders worth Rs 1,038 crore in Saudi Arabia. Year-to-date order intake crossed Rs 16,000 crore, up 20 per cent.

BEL

Received fresh orders worth Rs 592 crore since September 29 for tank subsystems, communication equipment, and overhaul projects.

Jyoti Structures

Secured a Rs 288.36 crore order from AESL Projects for Fatehpur Transmission Line, to be executed within 36 months.

Hero MotoCorp

Expanded into the Spanish market through a distribution partnership with Noria Motos. Plans to set up 30 official sales and service points initially and reach 50 locations by 2026.

Kaynes Technology

Subsidiary Kaynes Semicon rolled out India’s first commercially manufactured multi-chip modules (MCMs) for Alpha & Omega Semiconductor (AOS). Full production is expected from January 2026.

IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals

Received a Certificate of Suitability from EDQM for its API product, Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate, used in acidity and gas medications.

Avenue Supermarts (D-Mart)

Opened a new store in Hassan, Karnataka, taking total store count to 434.

Senco Gold

Opened its first store in Rajasthan (Bikaner), taking total count to 185 stores.

Swiggy

Launched a new ‘No Added Sugar’ category across 10 major cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, and Kolkata to promote healthy food options.

HEG

Subsidiary TACC Ltd secured Rs 1,230 crore credit facility from SBI to set up a lithium-ion graphite anode material facility (20,000 MTPA capacity) in Madhya Pradesh.
