The S&P 500 slipped 0.1 per cent early Monday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was little changed, and the Nasdaq composite was also flat.

Novo Nordisk’s stock that trades in the United States rose after the Danish company said U.S. regulators approved its Wegovy drug for use as part of a treatment for a liver disease found in many overweight and obese people.
