The Bureau of Labor Statistics on Friday said it will release September’s employment situation report next Thursday, Nov. 20, at 8:30 am.
The jobs report, crucial to both investors and policymakers, was originally set to be released on Oct. 3, before a funding lapse kicked off what became the longest U.S. government shutdown in history.
Earlier this week, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that October jobs and inflation data may never be released, since the agency was not able to collect the necessary data during the shutdown.
