About a third of the current 60,000 jobs in the aviation sector are at risk of being displaced by AI, according to a new report by the aviation authority and Workforce Singapore. This is why Singapore is stepping up efforts to build a talent pipeline and upskill the workforce. A S$200 million initiative has been launched to better attract, develop and retain aviation workers. Daniel Loh, Co-chairman of the NTUC Aerospace and Aviation Cluster and President of the Air-Transport Executive Staff Union, discusses aviation trends and how workers in the industry will get help.
