Work From Home Or Anywhere: FlexJobs Ranks 30 Companies For Remote Jobs

Looking for a remote job that lets you explore the world while working remotely? Whether you dream of logging in from a beach in Bali, a brasserie in Paris or a cozy mountain cabin—or maybe just a cafe around the corner—FlexJobs has the solution with its new report on the 30 best companies for work-from-home jobs and remote work.

Since 2019, I’ve been reporting on companies that embrace full-time remote work, allowing employees to ditch the office, work from anywhere and turn their travel dreams into reality. For context, you can also check out the reports from 2024, 2023, 2022 and 2020.

For 2025, I once again tapped into FlexJobs, which releases an annual ranking: Top 30 Companies for Work-From-Anywhere Jobs. This year’s list offers a fascinating snapshot of the evolving remote work landscape—and serves as a roadmap for creating the flexible, travel-filled lifestyle you’ve always dreamed about.

Remote Jobs: More In Demand Than Ever

At a time when more companies are calling employees back to the office, demand for remote work remains strong, making this list of work-from-anywhere jobs more relevant than ever.

“Since the pandemic, we know that employees have pursued greater work flexibility both in schedule and location. So having the ability to work remotely—and from anywhere in the world—offers people the most flexibility, which is why nearly 60% of workers say they would even accept a pay cut to have this benefit,” Toni Frana, career expert manager at FlexJobs, told me in an interview.

According to FlexJobs, work-from-anywhere job postings account for less than 5% of all remote work listings in its database—but these jobs are some of the most popular, especially in light of the recent election, which resulted in a spike in Americans wanting to leave the U.S.

“Building off of popular trends like digital nomadism, these types of roles continue to grow in popularity among job seekers. But because of their limited availability in the overall marketplace, they remain one of the most competitive types of roles to land,” says Frana.

And while the recent U.S. election may have sparked uncertainty in some industries, FlexJobs hasn’t seen a direct impact on interest in remote work. “In fact, nearly 70% of workers do not believe the election will have an impact on their career,” says Frana. “However, there is always strong interest for work-from-anywhere jobs, not only because they provide the ultimate in location flexibility, but also because they make up such a small portion of the remote work landscape.”

Remote Jobs: FlexJobs Ranks The Companies

This year, Veeva takes the top spot on the FlexJobs list, jumping up from the number five spot on last year’s list. Headquartered in Pleasanton, California, Veeva provides cloud-based software and services for the life sciences industry. As an employer, Veeva has had open positions in consulting, science, marketing, data engineering and more.

“Veeva’s commitment to work-life balance makes them an excellent leader in the flexible work space,” says Frana. “They consistently hire for the most work-from-anywhere jobs, which was reflected in the high volume of WFA postings available at Veeva over the last year that secured them the #1 spot.”

Coming in second on the FlexJobs list: Invisible Technologies, which was number six last year. Founded in 2015 to help overworked, stressed-out people, Invisible Technologies offers custom operations support to scaling small and midsized businesses.

Some of the other work-from-anywhere leaders include Canonical (an efficiency expert) and Wikimedia Foundation (which powers free knowledge platforms like Wikipedia).

Remote Jobs: Tracking The Trends

For the 2025 list, FlexJobs welcomed 19 new companies, demonstrating the far-reaching opportunities for work-from-anywhere talent across career levels and industries. Newcomers include CloudLinux, Duolingo (the language learning app) and GitLab.

“Seeing 19 new employers on the list across several different industries is exciting because it highlights their commitment to offering the work flexibility people want, need and are pursuing in the year ahead,” says Frana.

Another emerging trend: Project management jobs are becoming more widely available as work-from-anywhere roles. “Project management is an in-demand field right now, and we expect that to continue throughout 2025,” says Frana. “While IT roles have historically offered work-from-anywhere opportunities, seeing project management roles available without a specific location requirement is surprising, because offering the ability to work from anywhere allows companies to attract top talent from this in-demand field all over the globe.”

So whether you want to backpack through Southeast Asia, live like a local in Lisbon or simply have the freedom to hop between destinations without missing a paycheck, these companies make it possible. Read on for the top 30 companies for remote jobs in the FlexJobs report, ranked in order from highest to lowest for volume of work-from-anywhere job listings.
