Just Housing will be hosting a housing resource fair and rally in partnership with Housing Resources of Western Colorado and Mutual Aid Partners on Saturday in response to the housing crisis.
The event will be at Rocky Mountain Elementary Park at 2 p.m. Local housing providers will be available to talk about housing in the Grand Valley, and make a call to the county to take action.
“It’s going to be a great opportunity to make your voice heard by the County about the state of housing in this valley,” said Arlo Miller, chair of the Just Housing team at Western Colorado Alliance.
The Alliance is working hard on its Care Over Cuts campaign to protect our Western Slope communities from the budgeting problems we’ve seen at the state and federal levels, and this event is the first of several in Mesa County.
“With federal money for affordable housing on the chopping block, it’s time to put our community’s Care Over Cuts and start working together to solve this problem in our own communities,” said Miller.
