A DIY enthusiast shared the flooring trick she used to transform her bathroom.

The TikToker has been using budget-friendly buys to elevate her council house.

In her viral video, TikTok user Mads (@ayupwithmads) talked her followers through the process she followed to glow up the bathroom.

She explained that she lives in a two-bedroom terraced council house, which she has been working on transforming on a budget.

Mads revealed that the linoleum flooring in her bathroom matched that of the one in her kitchen.

However, the “thin wooden planks” underneath the bathroom floor had begun to rot due to leakage.

The TikToker revealed that the damaged flooring was currently being held together with duct tape.

She and her partner Ryan decided to tear it up and replace it using an 11-pack Self-Adhesive Moroccan Mosaic Effect Vinyl Floor Tile, available for £14 from B&M.

Mads revealed the hack she learned from fashion school that helped her when laying down her flooring.

“I made many a pattern piece and drew around it so I’m keeping the rotten floor to jigsaw around my new floor,” she explained.

The TikToker laid out the flooring in her kitchen and cut the same pattern on her B&M buy.

Once she had cut the flooring into her desired shape, she added a foam underlay to prevent further rotting.

She pointed out that the fashion school trick meant she didn’t have to draw on her “shiny new tiles” with Sharpie.

Mads showed her audience the end result of the patterned vinyl tiles on her bathroom floor.
