Today, the average rate on a 30-year mortgage is 6.21%, compared to last week when it was 6.38%.

The APR on a 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage is 6.23%. The APR was 6.41% last week. APR is the all-in cost of your loan.

The average interest rate on a 15-year mortgage (fixed-rate) fell to 5.2%. This same time last week, the 15-year fixed-rate mortgage was at 5.33%.

The APR on a 15-year fixed is 5.25%. It was 5.37% this time last week.

With an interest rate of 5.2%, you would pay $801 per month in principal and interest for every $100,000 borrowed. Over the life of the loan, you would pay $44,660 in total interest.

Jumbo Mortgage Rates Drop 0.73%

Today’s average interest rate on a 30-year fixed-rate jumbo mortgage (a mortgage above 2025’s conforming loan limit of $806,500 in most areas) fell 0.73% from last week to 6.57%.

Borrowers with a 30-year, fixed-rate jumbo mortgage with today’s interest rate of 6.57% will pay approximately $636 per month in principal and interest per $100,000 borrowed. That would be $129,561.
