Housing shortages in Emmet County have reached a critical point, and the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce is inviting the public to join the conversation on how to fix it.
A Housing Town Hall is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at the Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, according to a community announcement. The event is free and open to the public as part of the chamber’s Hot Topics programming.
Petoskey’s housing town hall is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025 to address local shortages and explore new solutions.
Organizers say the lack of housing across all price points is threatening the region’s workforce, health care system and economic stability. From teachers and tradespeople to hospital staff and hospitality workers, the shortage is blocking progress and eroding community resilience, according to the announcement.
