(Jan. 26, 2026) The Affordable Housing Trust is working out a deal to acquire a vacant 2-acre lot for $2 million in hopes it will one day amount to attainable homeownership opportunities.
Board members unanimously authorized the purchase of 158 Madaket Road last week, though it it still requires a sign-off from the Select Board and the property owner Franz Peter Arzt, who is “anxious to close,” town counsel said. Closing is scheduled for March 9.
