Brooks Nader is opening up about why she has been using GLP-1 medications for weight loss.

When the model and TV personality was asked by Us Weekly on Wednesday, November 12, if she will ever get off of GLP-1 drugs — which regulate blood sugar levels and appetite but are commonly used to shed pounds — she replied, “I think it’s a learn-as-you-go situation and trial and error.”

“I’m still working on my self-confidence and just my journey with that every day,” the 28-year-old continued. “It’s different now.”

“I fluctuate like everyone else,” she added. “So it just depends.”

In an interview with Bustle published earlier this month, the Sports Illustrated model spoke about her use of weight-loss drugs to aid in her body transformation and help her in her career.

“If I didn’t get a job, I would say to [my old agency], ‘Can we get feedback from the client?’ The direct feedback was I needed to lose 30 pounds,” Nader explained. “I didn’t shed one tear over it. I don’t feel bad for myself. I just say, ‘The facts are they want me to lose weight. How can I achieve that?’”

Nader has previously been open about her experience with Ozempic, which is a type of GLP-1 drug.

“The facts are that when I started GLP-1, my career took off. I’m not saying it’s OK. I’m not saying it’s right. I think everybody is different — but I lost 30 pounds, and I booked all the jobs,” she revealed.

Nader documented her weight-loss journey on the first season of her Hulu reality show, Love Thy Nader, and was met with a slew of reactions from fans who also use GLP-1 medications to help shed pounds.

“The thing that I was so shocked about with the show was that I had so many people reach out to me saying ‘I’m also addicted to GLP-1. I’m ashamed to talk about it because there’s such a stigma around it. It’s a crutch for me,’” Nader said. “I’m still on it. It’s a crutch for me, too. It’s not healthy. I should get off it; I’ll be honest about that.”

During her conversation with Bustle, she also revealed what other types of work she’s had done to her body, revealing that she got a nose job as well as veneers.

“People say I look like Michael Jackson,” she jokingly said of her nose.
