LOS ANGELES — Rapper and singer Lizzo is celebrating hitting a major milestone in her health and wellness journey.

The 36-year-old “Truth Hurts” singer, who is also known for her flute-playing skills, posted a picture on Instagram Saturday sharing screenshots from an app congratulating her on reaching her goal.

“I did it. Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal. I haven’t seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!” she captioned the photos.

Her post showed that she lowered her BMI (body mass index) by 10.5 and lost 16% of her body fat.

The Grammy Award-winner has been open in sharing her health and wellness journey, often sharing videos of her working out in her shapewear and athletic brand Yitty.

Despite her weight loss, Lizzo said she is prepared for people to still criticize her online for her appearance.

“Even at the end of my weight loss journey, I’m not going to be considered thin, by any means,” she said. “I will still be considered morbidly obese on the BMI, and little bros on the internet are still going to call me big backed. But I will be happy,” she said in an Instagram story.
