Jason Kelce continues to slim down in his post-playing days, but admitted he’s not quite in NFL playing shape when it comes to all aspects of his life.
A noticeably leaner Kelce, 37, attempted to relive his football glory days in a video posted by his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, on Wednesday, October 15.
“This is where I wonder if my coordination is still here,” Kelce said before trying out some footwork drills at the team’s practice facility.
However, the seven-time Pro Bowler — who retired from the NFL in March 2024 after 13 seasons with the Eagles — managed to complete most of the drills with flying colors.
“No joke, I used to be very, very good at that,” Kelce told the camera. “I mean, I was still pretty quick. The coordination used to be much better. I haven’t done it in over a year. So, first time in over a year, it wasn’t that terrible.”
Kelce then attempted to match the fastest speed he ever ran during practice or a game during his playing career, which was 19.2 miles per hour.
“Running is just a controlled fall,” Kelce yelled. “So the harder I fall, the faster I’ll go.”
After completing a sprint, Kelce said he “didn’t feel faster,” but the speedometer said otherwise. Kelce hit a top speed of 19.64 miles per hour, which delighted him.
“Are you f***ing kidding me?” he said with a laugh. “Let’s go!”
Kelce ran another sprint and hit a new personal best of 19.72 miles per hour. “I’ll take it,” an out-of-breath Kelce said. “We’re not going to get 20 [miles per hour].”
Inside the weight room, however, it was a bit of a different story when he started performing squats.
“In season, a number that I would routinely try and hit once every month or once every two months, I would try and hit 500 pounds,” Kelce explained. “This is where the psychological thing is. Just knowing that I could do that, I felt strong.”
When 505 pounds got put on the bar this time around, Kelce couldn’t perform a single squat.
“I can’t tell you how embarrassed and ashamed I am that I got pinned by 505,” Kelce commented on the video.
His younger brother, Travis Kelce, couldn’t help but revel in Jason’s agony.
Travis, 36, commented on the video, “😂😂😂😂 the face during that last squat got me.”
In May, Jason boasted that he had lost 25 pounds during an appearance at the 2025 Truist Championship pro-am in Philadelphia.
Jason was complimented on his figure in a video shared by the PGA TOUR. “You’ve lost a little weight,” somebody told him on the practice green.
“I’m trying,” Jason responded, revealing he had trimmed down to 270 pounds after playing at 295 during his NFL career.
In June 2024, Kelce revealed he had already begun the process of losing some of the weight from his NFL days.
“Right now, I’m about 277. I’m almost 20 pounds down right now,” Kelce told GQ. “It’s hard to imagine another nearly 20 pounds coming off, being honest with you. But my back already feels better. My knees already feel better. So another 20 pounds hopefully will make that much more adept at playing with my children.”
Since that interview, Jason and his wife, Kylie Kelce, welcomed their fourth daughter, Finnley “Finn,” in March. Jason and Kylie, 33, also share daughters Wyatt, 6, Ellie, 4, and Bennett, 2.
