Lizzo is finally opening up on the role Ozempic played during her massive weight loss journey.

The 37-year-old “About Damn Time” singer, who initially became a symbol of body positivity as a plus-sized pop star, revealed that she tried Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs amid her transformation.

“I’ve tried everything,” she admitted on the latest episode of the Just Trish podcast. “It’s just the science, for me, calories in vs. calories out. Ozempic works because you eat less food; it makes you feel full.”

Lizzo was at first tightlipped about using Ozempic, responding to speculation in mid-September by saying she’d instead been busting her butt for five months with a combination of weight training and a calorie-deficit diet.

A few weeks later, she seemingly hit back after “South Park” made fun of her weight in an episode that used “Lizzo” as the name of a new diet drug. Just before Halloween, she posted a video of herself dressed up as a box of the fake Ozempic alternative while giving the middle finger, as “South Park” character Cartman lurked in the background.

In January, the “Watch Out for the Big Grrrls” star revealed she’d reached her weight loss goal while reducing her body mass index by 10.5 and dropping 16% of her body fat.

Though Lizzo has now confessed to using Ozempic, she told podcaster Trisha Paytas that what really made all the difference was changing what she ate.

“When I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats. I was eating a lot of bread. I was eating a lot of rice, and I had to eat a lot of it to stay full,” she said. “But really I was consuming like 3,000 to 5,000 calories a day.”

Lizzo said it all changed when she put a focus on eating whole foods and healthy meats that keep her full and energized throughout the day.
