Lizzo Reveals Drastic Body Fat and BMI Change After Hitting 'Goal' Weight

Lizzo has let fans in on every part of her health and weight-loss journey for the past two years β€” and now she’s ready to celebrate multiple milestones.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, the “Truth Hurts” singer not only revealed that she achieved her “weight release” goal β€” she also lost more than 10 BMI points and 16 percent body fat since January 2023.

“I did it,” the 35-year-old Grammy winner began the caption of her post, which featured selfies of her in a maroon workout set overlaid with her new stats from a weight-loss app.

“Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal. I haven’t seen this number since 2014!” she continued. “Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!”

According to Lizzo’s screenshotted stats, the singer was down 10.5 BMI (Body Mass Index) points from January 16, 2023, and lost 16 percent body fat from the same date. The information also revealed that her “weight goal was achieved” as was her “body fat goal.”

Celebrities immediately filled her post with praise.

“Congratulations Queen,” Nick Cannon wrote.

“πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘,” Jersey Store star Jenni “J-Woww” Farley commented.

Former Fifth Harmony singer Lauren Jauregui penned: “Congrats mamita! .”

Excited fans also chimed in.

“Strong work πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼 feels good to accomplish a long term goal. πŸŽ‰,” one person gushed.

“You have been and always will be beautiful queen!! Congrats on the weight loss and confidence gain!! πŸŽ‰πŸ«ΆπŸ½πŸ«ΆπŸ½πŸŽ‰,” another user wrote.

Other fans, however, felt let down by Lizzo’s weight loss.

“So you wasn’t really as happy as you said you was when you were bigger? 🧐,” someone questioned.

“It’s really sad to see someone who helped me so much with my body image throughout my ed recovery now just be another influencer of diet culture,” revealed another Instagram commented. “But I guess that’s what American culture is all about huh, can’t really blame you. This is where I hop off the bandwagon tho sis, take care ❀️.”

To those comments, some came to the “Cuz I Love You” singer’s defense.

“How are you mad about someone losing weight?” someone asked. “Some of y’all really need help.”

“Way to go Lizzo. Congratulations and to hell with all the haters ❀️πŸ”₯❀️πŸ”₯,” another fan reacted.
