While many of us have been enjoying the Halloween season, it will soon be over, and we’ll be left with a surplus of treats.
It might be tempting to indulge in all the leftover sweets and chocolates but, if you’re on a weight loss journey, it’s not the best idea. If your goal is to tone up, you might want to consider incorporating pumpkin into your diet, as the humble vegetable can boost your health and aid in weight loss.
You might be surprised to learn that pumpkins are excellent for weight loss as they are low in calories and high in fibre. A cup of pumpkin contains around 50 calories, while 100g of raw pumpkin has only 26 calories.
Moreover, every 200g of pumpkin provides one gram of fibre, which aids digestion and helps to curb hunger. This makes it an ideal addition to your diet.
Jo Wuensche has shared her simple three-ingredient weight loss soup recipe, which she describes as “sweet and delicious”. She revealed that she lost a significant amount of weight by regularly eating this warming dish, which is also easy to prepare.
According to Jo, all you need is a whole, sliced pumpkin, two chopped onions and four cups of vegetable broth. Simply put everything into a saucepan and let it cook for 20 to 30 minutes.
Once cooked, blend everything together in a mixer. That’s all there is to making this healthy soup.
Jo remarked: “It’s extremely creamy and also super sweet. If it’s too thick for you, you can put water in. But it’s amazing how simple it is, and how good it is.”
Since it was posted, the video has amassed more than 100 views. Viewers are eager to test the recipe themselves – praising it for its simplicity and saying it looked gorgeous too.
One viewer enthused: “Delicious.” Another commented: ” Good soup.” A third eagerly posted: “Need to try ASAP.” Meanwhile, a fourth added: “Love this recipe. It looks so simple.”
