What's Going On With Tesla Stock Today

Tesla Inc TSLA shares are trading higher by 5.26% to $207.23 after the company said its Berlin Gigafactory built 4,000 Model Y units in a week. Tesla Europe tweeted the update on Sunday. 

In October last year, Tesla confirmed Model Y production had touched 2000 vehicles. The new numbers hint at a rapid ramp-up with production doubling in less than six months.

Tesla stock is also potentially trading higher in anticipation of the company’s investor day taking place Wednesday.

In a January announcement Tesla said that “investors will be able to see our most advanced production line as well as discuss long term expansion plans, generation 3 platform, capital allocation and other subjects with our leadership team” during the event.
