WTW names new global investments head

WTW has appointed Diya Luke as global head of investments from 1 July.

Luke will be responsible for driving the growth strategy of the company’s investments business globally, reporting to Julie Gebauer, head of health, wealth and career.

She will replace Chris Ford, who will retire at the end of June.

Luke joined WTW in 2004 as an investments consultant and has held several leadership positions including New York investments leader, southeast investments leader, northeast region leader and most recently growth acceleration leader for the company’s health, wealth and career business.

Gebauer said: “We’re excited to appoint Diya to this important leadership position.

“She’s an experienced leader with a track record for making smart connections and a deep understanding of our clients’ needs. We look forward to her many contributions as we continue to bring our best innovative ideas forward and invest for a more sustainable tomorrow.”

Commenting on Ford’s upcoming retirement, Gebauer said: “Chris’s leadership has been instrumental in building a truly global Investments business, which today has more than $150bn in assets under management and has historically outperformed industry benchmarks.

“As a result, our clients’ portfolios have achieved attractive investment results while managing risk. We take this opportunity to thank Chris for all that he has done and to wish him the very best in his retirement as we look forward to continued growth in the Investments business under Diya’s leadership.”
