The Cincinnati Bengals remain alive in the playoff race, in part due to some heroic flu-game performances.
The Bengals know it, too, making roster moves and hosting free agents on workouts before the showdown with the Denver Broncos in Week 17.
Early in the week, the Bengals announced the release of quarterback Logan Woodside and the signing of defensive end Isaiah Thomas to the active roster.
Thomas is back to help in the wake of the Sam Hubbard injury.
According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2, the Bengals hosted the following players on workouts:
- DL Ralph Holley
- WR Kalil Pimpleton
- WR Makai Polk
- OL Trevor Reid
These are depth looks for the Bengals at problematic areas right now. Workouts this late in the season also double for information gathering before they add players in the offseason.
