Charter Senior Living, a provider of independent living, assisted living and memory care, announces the rollout of its Total Brain Health program at Charter Senior Living, along with communities nationwide. The initiative has already touched the lives of nearly 300 residents across Charter, delivering measurable benefits in brain health awareness, social engagement, and overall life satisfaction, said officials.
This year, 65 Charter communities participated in TBH, with 44 completing program surveys — making this one of the most comprehensive resident program evaluations in company history.
The results report: 94 percent overall satisfaction across all TBH programs executed this trimester; 87 percent of residents increased their knowledge about brain health; 91–95 percent discovered new opportunities to socialize; 86–100 percent tried new brain-healthy activities; and up to 100 percent expressed interest in continuing with another TBH course.
“These results demonstrate that brain health programming is not just about learning — it’s about living,” said Jayne Sallerson, president and COO of Charter Senior Living. “Our residents are gaining knowledge, joy, purpose and new connections. That’s the essence of enhancing the human spirit.”
Residents reported:
“This class has given me hope. The sense to move forward in my life.”
“I really liked the social aspect of working together.”
“Our instructor was the best — always so enthusiastic.”
“It has been a fantastic class. They can’t wait for the next one.”
Charter Senior Living believes that engagement is more than an activity — it is essential care. By delivering programs like TBH, Charter Senior Living of Chattanooga is helping residents embrace brain health while creating meaningful opportunities for connection, learning and joy, said officials.
“Thanks to the passion of our teams, TBH has not only educated residents about brain health but also sparked purpose and connection in their daily lives,” said Ms. Sallerson. “Together, we are proving that brain health programming can truly be life-changing.”
