WESTLAKE, Oh. — Community West Foundation has concluded its 2025 grant making with a significant investment in local communities, awarding $546,400 in fourth-quarter grants to nonprofits serving Cleveland, Western Cuyahoga, and Lorain Counties.
Recipients include Westlake’s Carolyn L. Farrell Foundation for Brain Health, which uses arts enrichment to enhance quality of life for individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia, and Seeds of Literacy, which provides personalized adult education and GED tutoring.
The funding package includes $440,000 approved by the Foundation’s Board of Directors and an additional $106,400 distributed through the Community Impact Fund, which pools donor contributions to address critical community needs.
According to Marty Uhle, President and CEO of Community West Foundation, the awards “demonstrate the organization’s dedication to partnering with nonprofits that create meaningful change in people’s lives.”
The Foundation emphasizes that every dollar contributed to the Community Impact Fund goes directly to nonprofit recipients, ensuring donations reach those in need while supporting its mission to illuminate hope and restore dignity.
The fourth-quarter grants support a wide spectrum of community services, from behavioral health and housing assistance to education and food security.
Other recipients focus on critical support services. Community of Hope creates belonging for homeless youth and young adults aging out of foster care, while Frontline Service provides behavioral health services for individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health crises.
